Organizations
Multi-store organizations, member management, and shared billing.
Organizations are the top-level entity in Workfile. Every store belongs to an organization, and every team member is part of one. Organizations handle shared billing, team management, and multi-store access.
How organizations work
When you create your first store, an organization is automatically created for you. You're the Owner of that organization.

| Team member | A person with access to the organization's stores |
Most merchants have one organization with one store. Multi-store setups are for businesses that run multiple brands or storefronts under one account — like a clothing brand and a home decor brand.
Multi-store setup
On plans that support multiple stores, you can create additional stores from Stores in the sidebar:

Each store has its own:
- Products, orders, and customers
- Storefront with separate domain
- Theme and page builder content
- Blog, forms, and services
But they share:
- Organization billing (one subscription covers all stores)
- Team members (with per-store access control)
- Media library storage quota
Organization billing
Your subscription plan is at the organization level, not per store. Plan limits like "max stores", "max team members", and "storage" apply across all stores in the organization.
For example, a Pro plan with 5 stores and 10 team members means you can distribute those across your stores however you like.

Check your current usage from Settings → Billing in any store. The billing page shows organization-wide usage against your plan limits.
Team management
Team members are invited at the organization level and can be assigned to specific stores. See Teams for details on roles and permissions.
Store switching
If you have multiple stores, use the store switcher in the dashboard sidebar to switch between them. Each store has its own dashboard with separate data.
