Go-Live Checklist
Everything to verify before launching your store to customers.
Ready to launch? Use this checklist to make sure everything is set up correctly before you start driving traffic to your store.
Essential setup
Products are ready
- At least one product is Active with images, description, and price — see Products
- Product categories are set up for navigation
- Variant options (sizes, colors) are configured where needed
- HSN codes are added for GST compliance
Payments are configured
- Razorpay app is installed with valid Key ID and Key Secret — see Payments
- Test a payment in Razorpay test mode before going live
- COD is configured (if you want to offer it)
- Webhook URL is added to your Razorpay dashboard
Shipping is set up
- Shipping app (Shiprocket) is installed and configured — see Shipping
- Pickup address is set
- Shipping rates appear correctly at checkout
Store details are complete
- Store name and description are set — see Settings
- Logo is uploaded (appears in header and invoices)
- Contact information is filled in
- Business address is added (for invoices)
- GSTIN is entered in billing profile (if GST-registered)
Storefront looks good
- Homepage is designed with the page builder
- Header navigation menu is created with key links
- Footer has contact info, social links, and policy pages
- Product pages display correctly with images and descriptions
- Mobile view looks good (test on a real phone)
Legal pages exist
- Privacy Policy page — see Pages
- Terms of Service page
- Refund & Return Policy page
- Shipping Policy page
Create legal pages using the page builder or as custom pages. Link them in your footer navigation. These are required by most payment gateways and build customer trust.
Recommended setup
These aren't required for launch but significantly improve your store:
Domain and branding
- Custom domain connected and verified (Settings → Domains)
- SSL certificate is active (automatic after domain verification)
- Favicon is set
- Theme colors match your brand
SEO basics
- Homepage has a custom meta title and description
- Product descriptions are unique and descriptive
- Category pages have descriptions
- Sitemap is accessible at
/sitemap.xml
Customer experience
- Contact form or contact page is set up
- Order confirmation emails are working (place a test order)
- Customer account pages work (register, login, view orders)
Analytics
- Google Analytics app is installed with your GA4 ID
- Meta Pixel is configured (if running Facebook/Instagram ads)
Testing your store
Before announcing your launch:
- Place a test order — go through the full checkout flow as a customer
- Test on mobile — browse products, add to cart, and checkout on your phone
- Check emails — verify order confirmation and shipping notification emails
- Test payment — use Razorpay test mode to verify the payment flow works
- Check page speed — your storefront should load in under 3 seconds
Use Razorpay's test mode credentials to place test orders without real money. Switch to live credentials only when you're ready for real customers.
After launch
Once you're live:
- Monitor orders — check your Orders page daily for new orders
- Respond quickly — reply to customer inquiries within 24 hours
- Track analytics — review traffic and conversion data weekly
- Update content — keep products, prices, and availability current
- Collect reviews — encourage happy customers to share feedback
