Leads
Track and manage potential customers from form submissions, quote requests, and inquiries.
Leads are potential customers who've shown interest in your business — through contact forms, quote requests, or newsletter signups. The Leads dashboard gives you a simple CRM to track and follow up on every inquiry.
Leads are automatically created when someone submits a form with purpose set to "Lead capture". See Forms & Leads for setting up lead capture forms.
Viewing leads
Go to Leads in the sidebar to see all captured leads. The list shows:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Lead's full name |
| Contact email | |
| Phone | Phone number |
| Source | Which form they submitted |
| Status | Current pipeline stage |
| Date | When the lead was captured |
Lead statuses
Track leads through a simple sales pipeline:
| Status | Meaning | Typical action |
|---|---|---|
| New | Just submitted, not yet contacted | Review and reach out |
| Contacted | You've made first contact | Await response |
| Qualified | Confirmed interest and fit | Send proposal |
| Proposal | Proposal or quote sent | Follow up |
| Negotiation | Discussing terms or pricing | Close the deal |
| Won | Converted to a customer | 🎉 |
| Lost | Didn't convert | Archive |
| Spam | Not a real lead | Dismiss |
Update a lead's status by clicking on it and selecting the new stage from the status dropdown.
Move leads to "Contacted" as soon as you reach out. This helps you track which new leads still need your attention — filter by "New" status each morning to see who needs a first response.
Lead details
Click any lead to see their full profile:
- Contact info — name, email, phone
- Source — which form they submitted and when
- Form responses — all field values from their submission
- Status history — when the status was last changed
- Notes — internal notes for your team
How leads are created
Leads are created automatically from form submissions when the form's purpose is set to Lead capture:
- Customer fills out a form on your storefront (contact form, quote request, etc.)
- The form submission is saved
- A lead record is created with the customer's name, email, and phone (mapped from form fields)
- The lead appears in your Leads dashboard with status "New"
For leads to be created automatically, your form fields must be mapped to lead fields (name, email, phone) in the form builder. See Forms → Map to field for details.
Managing leads
From the leads list, you can:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Filter by status | Show only leads at a specific pipeline stage |
| Search | Find leads by name, email, or phone |
| Update status | Move leads through the pipeline |
| Add notes | Record follow-up details or context |
| Delete | Remove spam or duplicate leads |
Best practices
- Respond within 24 hours — leads that get a fast response are far more likely to convert
- Use status consistently — move leads through the pipeline so you always know where each one stands
- Add notes after every interaction — "Called, discussed pricing, will send quote tomorrow"
- Review "New" leads daily — don't let inquiries sit unread
- Mark spam immediately — keeps your pipeline clean and metrics accurate
